Company information
The puppets are manufactured by a non-profit company called ’CONTACT Munkarehabilitáció Kht.’ which operates in Szolnok, Hungary. Szolnok is the capital of the county Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, situated by the River Tisza, 100 kms from Budapest in south-east direction. The non-profit company organizes and provides several social and labour market services and projects for disadvantaged and disabled persons. Our endeavour is to provide training and employment for groups of various composition in the form of occupational rehabilitation.
We have 130 employees. Our activities range from manufacture and selling of textile toys to several services (cleaning and gardening works for institutions and private homes) and contracted work.

Company policy
The main point of our business policy is to offer individual, high quality textile toys at affordable prices, constantly conforming to customer requirements. We feel that it is our mission to provide children in Hungary and also abroad with toys that can greatly contribute to a harmonic development of their personality, creativity and social relations. Also an essential objective of our company is to provide continuous employment for the disadvantaged and disabled people through manufacture of our products.

Products
The products are fully based on own development. Our product range comprises 160 different figures made of textile, including hand puppets with human and animal figures and head puppets. The product range keeps expanding according to market demand and requirements.
We use looped polar textiles of various colours as raw material. Our production technology is optimalized for the high quality manufacture of handicraft products, each hand-made and individually fashioned.

In the year 2002, we applied for and gained a registered design mark for our product range at the Hungarian Patent Office.

Our products comply fully with commercial and quality requirements and have a CE certificate issued by KERMI.
 

Objectives, company strategy
The company ’CONTACT Kht.’ aims to increase its share in the Hungarian market of textile toys. The competitive strength of our high quality artistic products is also supported by the favourable prices.

In addition to our ambitions in the Hungarian market, we make severe efforts to gradually develop sales activities in other countries, as well. This objective was set on the basis of the positive experiences of our last year’s participation in international fairs.

Sales
At present, our production volume is 12,000 pcs per year, but we aim to increase this quantity substantially in the following years.

Our sales on the Hungarian market keep expanding. Our customer base includes schools, nurseries, school supplies shops and toy shops.

In the recent years we introduced ourselves successfully on several European markets. Since 2000 we have been attending the handicraft exhibition in Milano, Italy, each year. Within Europe we visited Slovenia, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Our products always meet with favourable reception among our visitors and each time we receive positive feedback.
